Player protection

Responsible play

Prize competitions should only ever be played with money you can comfortably afford to spend. This page explains the tools we give you to stay in control, and where to find free, confidential support if anything starts to feel like a problem.

Your tools for staying in control

All of these are available to every player, free, in your account settings. Using them never affects how we treat you.

  • Monthly spend limit

You set a monthly limit in pounds before you can enter any competition, and nothing you do on Prize Centre can take you past it. You can lower your limit at any time and the change applies straight away — including setting it to £0, which blocks all spending on your account. Raising your limit is deliberately slower: an increase only takes effect after a 24-hour cooling-off period, so a decision made in the moment never applies in the moment.

  • Time-out

Need a break? You can pause your account for a week or more. While a time-out is active you cannot enter competitions or spend anything, and we will not send you marketing.

  • Longer suspension

You can suspend your account for six months or more. The minimum is deliberate: a suspension is a real break, not something to undo the next day. While suspended you cannot enter, spend or receive marketing.

  • Permanent closure

You can close your account for good. A closed account cannot be reopened, and you will not be able to register a new account for at least six months.

Free, confidential support

If spending on competitions — here or anywhere else — is causing you worry, money trouble or stress, these organisations offer free and confidential help. Talking to them does not cost anything and does not go on any record with us.

You must be 18 or over

Prize Centre competitions are for adults only. We verify the age of every player before they can enter, and we will close any account found to belong to someone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not attempt to register or enter.
